WHAT IS IT
Positron Emission Tomography–computed tomography  (better known as PET-CT) is a nuclear medicine  technique which combines, in a single  gantry, a  positron emission tomography (PET) scanner and an x-ray computed tomography  (CT) scanner, to acquire sequential images from both devices in the same session, which are combined into a single superposed (co-registered) image. Thus,  functional imaging obtained by PET, which depicts the spatial distribution of  metabolic  or  biochemical  activity in the body can be more precisely aligned or correlated with anatomic imaging obtained by CT scanning. 2D- and 3-dimensional  image reconstruction  may be rendered as a function of a common software and control system.

WHERE ARE OUR PET-CTs FROM – NEUSOFT (China)
The NeuSight PET/CT represents the next chapter of Neusoft’s technological innovation. It combines state-of the art healthcare imaging with the new Neusoft Design DNA. Through combination of soft, patient facing surfaces with precise defined structures a holistic design experience is generated for all stakeholders, patient and caregiver. Several touch points for the system are user interface, patient table and peripherals offer a unique interaction experience on a multi-sensorial level through refined tactile, sound and light feedback. The 72cm bore and dual column table were firstly introduced to provide the highest comfort for the patients and therefore enable a better picture quality. The extra wide table with soft cushions offer a welcoming gesture to the patient. The innovative light ring around the bore opening gives instant feedback on the examination status for the caregiver. Integrative control elements allow the user to reach the point of interest fast and precise while the LCD navigation integrated into the gantry provides a real-time status with patient information for streamlining workflow.
